LG is looking for suppliers to cut the cost of new machines: except Qualcomm, other components have dropped 5%

On May this year, LG launched a new industrial design Velvet (Velvet) mobile phone. According to Korean media reports, LG generally negotiates the purchase price of components with major suppliers every three months. The latest one was around Velvet mobile phones, and almost all its partners were persuaded by LG to cut the price by 5%, however, there is one exception, that is Qualcomm.

LG failed to “cut meat” from Qualcomm, and Xiaolong 765 5G chip continued to maintain its original price.

According to the report, the price of new components will take effect from next month, when mobile phone the cost will be explored, which will help LG improve its profit margin.

LG Velvet uses a 6.8-inch FullVision display with a screen aspect ratio of 20.5:9, equipped with Qualcomm Xiaolong 765g mobile platform, rear 48 million main camera +8 million ultra-wide angle +5 million depth of field, and battery capacity of 4300mAh, support Stylus Pen. The machine is priced at 899800 won in South Korea and will land in the European market this month.
