Recently, mega-Core announced a detailed road map in an official video, which not only mentioned the development of the future mega-core CPU, but also announced the GPU discrete graphics card for the first time!
According to the introduction, the GPU discrete graphics card of mega-core will fill the gap in China and is manufactured by TSMC with a mature process of 28nm, with a power consumption of about 70W.
More details have not been released yet, and the release date looks like the fastest end of this year, slow see next year.
In terms of CPU, mega-core will also have two new products exposed this year and next, first, for low-power notebook and tablet fields, TSMC continues to use 16nm technology, 4 cores, 2.0GHz dominant frequency, integrated DX12 GPU graphics core, with power consumption of only 15W.
The second is for high-end servers, which is also TSMC’s 16nm process. The internal dual Die package consists of up to 16 cores, with a dominant frequency of more than 2.0GHz, supporting eight channels of DDR4 memory and 128 PCIe 3.0 channels, support two-way parallel, officially said that it can reach the level of Intel’s medium and high-end Xeon products.
